Analytical Chemistry
Analytical Chemistry techniques are performed on routine and complex samples. Instrumentation includes inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES), microwave digestion, ion chromatography (IC), titration, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), carbon/sulfur analysis, hydrogen analysis, FTIR spectroscopy including ATR & IR microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and particle size analysis.

Plant Chemistry Support
Churchill has the personnel and technology to provide services that address our customers’ most challenging problems and emergent needs.  We can support outage critical path work on irradiated and non-irradiated material with the availability of many types of advanced analytical techniques with high sample throughput and rapid turnaround.  Plant chemistry support experience includes foreign material and loose parts chemistry, corrosion studies, fuel crud and sludge analyses, failure analyses (metallic and non-metallic),  water chemistry, high temperature steam oxidation testing, and customized R&D experiments.
