Technically acceptable PRA models are prerequisites to use risk-informed applications.  The models must meet RG 1.200 guidelines for scope and quality, be peer-reviewed with all findings formally closed, and be maintained and updated to reflect the as-built, as-operated plant.

Using the Internal Events PRA model as the backbone, develop other modes as needed to support the application. Formal Peer reviews validate the acceptability of the models.

All PRA models are integrated into a one-top, “risk monitoring” model, and optimized to execute quickly (near real time).
PRA models must reflect the as-built, as-operated plant.  Applications (MSPI) require quarterly reviews; other applications require formal updates every other refueling outage.
