The weld functions as a seal and a structural retainer of the nozzle. If a crack develops the nozzle will leak and will potentially come loose.
MNSA graphite seal replaces the sealing function of the weld. It can be installed on an active leak with the system still filled. The seal retaining hardware compresses and keeps the graphite seal loaded against system pressure.
The anti-injection feature replaces the structural function of the weld thus not requiring any welding. This results in faster installation and repair of the leak without welding. This is considered a permanent repair per code case N-733-1.
